Steven J. West



Stephen J. West is the author of Soft-Boiled, published by Kelson Books. His writing has been published in Brevity, Ninth Letter, PANK, and other places. He is the curator behind the Undead Darlings broadside series. Currently, he lives in Rochester, NY, where he is Visiting Assistant Professor of English at St. John Fisher College.

We sat down with Stephen to discuss his hybrid memoir/detective-noir novel, Soft-Boiled. We were lucky enough to receive a behind-the-scenes analysis of Stephen's time working on the book—shadowing a private detective while juggling his responsibilities as a husband, new father, and writer.
